INVESTMENT
The style, approach and what to expect.
Romantic, intimate, loving moments captured and turned into art for your walls or an art book.
I'm not a fan of labelling but I shoot moments as they happen, often using light manipulation to engineer the finest loving ambience in your images. Some have said they are editorial images. some fine art, dark and sexy, there has even been comparisons to the Chiaroscuro effect and all have said romantic, storytelling and natural. For me it's all about human emotion and bonds. The connection and creating memories from your special day.
Every image delivered is hand edited by me, meaning no AI and that you'll get a collection of images that ensures quality over quantity. There are two Ryan Murrant signature edits used, the true to colour cinematic edit and the black and white edit with added grain for that Hollywood edge. Your gallery will be a mix of both edits depending on the mood of the day, for me an image works in either colour or black and white, never both.
The Process
Getting to know you both is essential for this journey. To understand that connection, what lights your candles and who you are as a couple and as individuals.
We can chat over FaceTime or Zoom but couples like you have found that face-to-face meetings initially are more productive and of course we can then enjoy a coffee or something stronger as we start to bring your vision to life.
When it comes to booking you simply make a 25% booking fee payment, we exchange some necessary paperwork and then we plan your day before the final balance is due 45 days before the event.
We will probably meet at least two or three times before the day, we can chat over WhatsApp too.
Within 24 hours of your special day you'll get around 20-25 preview shots in an online gallery and around 8 weeks after that you'll have your full gallery. We can chat about turnaround times on boxes of prints, art books etc when you book. It's all very straight forward though and I will give regular updates to you both.

If you value photography we are going to get on. Only couples that have value in photography will work with me. If you need a camera for hire that isn't me. If you want artistic moments of your day, meaningful moments and the emotional narrative of your wonderful love story then we should talk.
I am a very emotional person. Often crying when editing, if you mention me in a speech I'll cry, if you share a hug with an elderly relative I'll be there to capture it (through misty eyes). As you will have seen, I am a romantic.
It's not just about how the day looked, it's about how it felt to be there.
It's more than hiring a photographer, it's an investment in someone that understands your vision for the day, your love for those around you and how to make that into art.

I invest heavily in my own development and
knowledge, evolving and in my small but relevant
network. I am fortunate enough to have invested
time with people who are at the very top of their
game worldwide. Those who have taught me
well and introduced me to suppliers who
work with me to give you as a couple, an
enhanced experience.
Films and music are big parts of my life, I can't wait
to hear about your inspirations and love story.
Movies and good photography book.
Over the years my photography and spare time have
intertwined. Whilst this is my full time job I do all I
can to invest my time back into photography.
Whether that be talking to wedding photographers who
are at the very top of the game, investing money and
time in studying education courses from the very best
out there or picking up a book to look at physical
photos. It all helps me when capturing your day.

Film wise I love a romantic movie, my favourite films
I've watched this year are Poor Things, Past Lives,
Betty Blue, Where the Crawdads sing, The Dreamers
and Cold War. Most of which are recommended by
couples just like you.
Filling my eyes with these books and films is something
that I have learned really helps me when telling a love
story like yours.
